Today in God’s Word
Numbers 5; Psalm 39; Song of Solomon 3; Hebrews 3
The verse of the day is from Hebrews where the author exhorts those in the visible church or outwardly circumcised people of God to lean into community in order that we may all hold fast and be evidenced to be of the invisible church or the inwardly circumcised people of God…
“13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” (Hebrews 3:13, ESV)
From J.I. Packer’s Quest for Godliness…
The healthy Christian is not necessarily the extrovert, ebullient Christian, but the Christian who has a sense of God’s presence stamped deep in his soul, who trembles at God’s word, who lets it dwell in him richly by constant meditation upon it, and who tests and reforms his life daily in response to it.
Soli Deo Gloria!
