‘IGNITED…by the SPIRIT’ Message Series @ Crossroad

Sometimes sequels disappoint and just don’t measure up to expectations relative to the originals. We see that commonly in movies or books. Great anticipation precedes a sequel—only to have it move to unmet expectations as the creativity or storyline disappoints and flounders.

Nothing could be further from this reality than the Book of Acts of the New Testament. Acts is a sequel of sorts to the four Gospels and to Luke particularly. While being a sequel to the gospel story, Acts also stands out uniquely among the New Testament writings. Launching from the resurrection of Jesus, Luke the author, gives narrative insight into the spread of the gospel to the world.

Currently at Crossroad, we are in a message series entitled, ‘IGNITED…by the SPIRIT.’  In this journey of study, we are being reminded of God’s mighty power in the history of the church and of His promised power to us in being the church.
