The prophet Isaiah wrote to three different audiences in the structure of his book of prophecy. In the middle section of the book he directed his words to the exiled Israelites and spoke of the hope that God would glorify himself by bringing them together again from among the nations.

We can glean a lesson from Isaiah’s words to the exiles for our own day. When we are facing struggles or when we are forgetting the blessings that we have received in Christ we can reflect on the enduring principles given by Isaiah.
