The Promise…

Ten generations from Noah brings us to Abram and his brothers living with their father Terah in the desert where they were likely worshiping false gods. God chose Abram for his own purposes and spoke to him in the form of a promise. His promise contained a command to go into an undetermined land and it contained the benefits of becoming a great nation with the protection and blessing of God that would become the source of blessing to all the families of the earth.
